The Naval podcast published a short but punchy episode called – To a caveman very few things are resources. He’s basically saying that mankind’s ability to make full use of what we have is limited by our imagination.
For instance, cavemen would have had very little use for gold or copper whereas we have nearly an infinite list of uses for these metals. If the thinking is sound, then there is indeed an argument to be made about how finite Earth’s resources are.
Maybe they are infinite, and we just don’t know it because we lack the knowledge and imagination to realise it? You can listen to the episode here on apple podcasts and YouTube.
